DOCTORAL COLLOQUIUM: Call for Papers

Due to the severe restrictions of movement across Europe, there is little to no CEEPUS mobility happening in this academic year. Apart from that, most academic conferences and events have been cancelled or postponed, leaving doctoral students with scarce opportunities to present and discuss their work with their colleagues. For these reasons, the CEEPUS Network “Bioethics” will organise an on-line doctoral colloquium in order to provide a forum for doctoral students to engage with each other, present and discuss their work, and to benefit from networking with their colleagues at other universities across Central Europe.

Those interested in participating should write an abstract (300-400 words) that sums up their thesis or a part of the thesis they would like to discuss during the doctoral colloquium. The abstracts will be used to group together similar or related projects and to determine the order of paper presentations during the colloquium. The deadline for submitting the abstract (English or German) is January 15, 2021 and they should be sent to Nenad Polgar ( ). On the day of the colloquium, each doctoral student whose abstract has been accepted will hold a presentation lasting no longer than 20 minutes, which will be followed by a moderated discussion (30-60 minutes) aimed at helping the student make a step further in his/her research and overcoming obstacles he/she encountered in the work on his/her thesis.
